Way to Go, Scientists!

So proud of our SCIENTISTS who participated in the 17th Annual RES Science Fair!  It was so great to see the kids tonight as they explored their interests and dug a bit deeper into topics that they enjoyed!

Eben taught us about Packing Peanuts: Pros and Cons.  Great work! You really gave us something to think about as we consider this material in the future!

Aurora and Malia explored Stars and Constellations in an amazing display that lit up the gym and the mind!  Well done, Starry Scientists!

Malachai extended his classroom learning about The Effects of Pollutants on Fresh Water in his project.  What an interesting and informative presentation, Malachai!  You really know your science and how to explain your findings to others!

Ben and his brother Miles explored Sound Waves in their project!  What fun it was to SEE sound!  Really interesting and fun, too!

Super Recess After The Snowstorm!

Today was an amazing day at recess!  These 2+feet of snow on our playground made for quite a scene!  The kids looked like a bunch of little gophers jumping up and down in the snow!  So funny and so awesome!  Lots of smiles and laughter for sure!  I wish I could have gotten more fun images for you all to see, but I was having a hard time getting around out there! The snow was a bit deep for me, too!  Haha!

Thanks, Stella! Ha!

Teams of kids in our class have been asked to plan a trip around the state.....what are some of the special places that people could visit?  Where are they located?  How would they get there?  How long would it take?  How far would they travel?   Working together, kids have decided their destinations and are plotting these places on an interactive map.  Stay tuned!  We'll be posting these maps on our blog for you to see and enjoy!  We're realizing just how much there is to love about our state, and we're seeing how these businesses contribute to our Vermont Economy!  Our tours are also helping us learn about Vermont's Geography and very special landscape!
