Let's share our MATH stories!

I hope you're all enjoying this last full week of your summer break!  Teachers are busily getting ready for your arrival, and we're all excited to hear about the fun you've had over the past couple of months!

So, has anyone spotted any math out there in the world this summer?  Have you used any of your math smarts in your adventures or seen anyone else use theirs? You can email me some of your math discovery pics, your stories, your questions, or your observations!

(here's my email:  maribeth.berliner@cesuvt.org)

I can post your ideas here on our blog to share with others!

Here's my idea to get us started...
Today I noticed that in my apple there were 5 seeds....I wondered....if all apples have the same number of seeds.....how many apple trees could I plant if I took the seeds from 8 apples? 10 apples? 16 ? 50? 100?

P.S. Did anyone watch the Olympics?  Did you find all of the math in Rio?  Woo hoo!
